Patterns Patterns Patterns!!!

Kindergarten has been learning all about different types of patterns. We love seeing how many different patterns we can make. We also love to see how long we can make our patterns. Check out what we have done. Do you know these patterns?

Aldor Acres Pumpkin Patch

Kindergarten went to Aldor Acres to see all the pumpkins and pick one from the pumpkin patch. We also got to enjoy a hayride, see one week old piglets in the barn, hold the bunnies, see the tiny kittens and other animals, pet the goats, and listen to a singing pig. We are so glad that the rain held off and we could enjoy walking around the farm. Thanks to everyone who came with us. What an enjoyable day!

Pumpkin Poem

One day I found two pumpkin seeds.
I planted one and pulled the weeds.
It sprouted roots and a big, long vine.
A pumpkin grew; I called it mine.
The pumpkin was quite round and fat.
(I really am quite proud of that.)
But there is something I'll admit
That has me worried quite a bit.
I ate the other seed you see.
Now will it grow inside of me?

(I'm so relieved since I have found
That pumpkins only grow in the ground!)

Crunchy Leaf Party

Kindergarten enjoyed God's beautiful creation one day by having a Crunchy Leaf Party in the Forest. We collected as many leaves as we could, made a huge pile and took turns jumping and playing in the leaves. What a party! We sang this Poem/Song:

Crunchy Leaves
Crunchy Leaves
We make a crunchy sound
In the leaves upon the ground
Crunchy Crunchy, hear the noise
Made in leves by girls and boys.

Crunchy Leaf Party!

Fleetwood Fall Walk

Fleetwood Fall Park

Welcome to Surrey Christian School. We have been so blessed with getting to know all the new students in Kindergarten this past September. We have been learning all about God's beautiful creation. At the end of the month, we went on a fieldtrip to experience firsthand the wonders of God's creation and to enjoy the beauty of the changing seasons. We had a picnic lunch, went for a fall walk and also played at a very exciting playground. Thank you to all the parents, grandparents and friends who could come join us.
